Sarah Wilcox
Executive Vice President
Consumer Health
Draftfcb Chicago

Sarah Wilcox became enthralled with the healthcare industry 20 years ago, and has spent her career communicating with consumers, patients, physicians, policymakers and the media about diseases, medical products and healthcare services.  In the early 1980’s she launched one of the first hospital advertising campaigns in the U.S. for Samaritan Health Services, a multi-hospital system.  And by the mid-1980’s Sarah was at the forefront of the AIDS epidemic working for the Department of Health and Hospitals in Boston where she developed consumer campaigns to reach at-risk individuals, and spearheaded a public service campaign that educated panicked citizens about the disease.

After receiving her M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the early 1990’s, Sarah spent two years working on a start-up international business focused on China’s media and advertising industries.  She regularly traveled to Asia where she worked with the international venture capital community, and created business partnerships with global advertising agencies, entertainment companies and the Chinese media.

After many years as a marketing executive and management consultant for companies in biotechnology, medical devices, and hospitals, Sarah joined the agency in 2003 to oversee the agency’s consumer health practice.  She and her team manage consumer advertising, direct marketing, digital and retail/promotions programs for a variety of health and wellness companies.
